Nanette Laufik, BSN, PA-C was hired at Southwest Family Physicians in 1994. She graduated in 1987 from Medex Northwest at the University of Washington in Seattle. Prior to PA training Nanette was an R.N., having received her nursing degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. Her nursing experience included obstetrics, psychiatry, general clinical research, and kidney medicine and transplantation. As a PA she has been employed in family practice, urgent care and Indian Health Care Services.

At SWFP she maintains special interest in women’s health care, urgent care, pediatrics, travel health and health maintenance. She also does medical relief work and coordinates teams for overseas medical education. These experiences have taken her to Albania, Honduras, Afghanistan, Lithuania, Latvia, Indonesia, Romania, and most recently to Gulfport, Mississippi.
