What is a Nurse Practitioner?
Tracy Klein, RN, MS, FNP, has been a nurse practitioner since 1993. She began her career as a women’s health care nurse practitioner, and maintains national certification in women’s health. In 2003 she completed additional clinical and educational training in family practice and became licensed and nationally board certified as a family nurse practitioner. In addition to her clinical practice Tracy is active in state, national and international health policy issues. She was recently named as NP Advocate of the Year for Oregon by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her family includes her husband and their two active herding dogs, Dash and Astro, and she highly recommends dog ownership as a way to get out and exercise in the rain.
