What You'll Do in Our Program

Orientation Visit

Meet Colly Perkins, our Patient Coordinator, to learn more about the program and determine if it is a good fit for you. You will receive a Body Composition Analysis and have plenty of time to ask any questions you may have.

Medical Office Visits

Our medical model, grounded in evidence-based obesity medicine, has been developed over the previous eight years by the program leader, Dr. Cynthia Gulick, an obesity medicine board-certified physician. Alongside Dr. Gulick, specially trained provider Alyse Nikolao, FNP CNM, practices obesity medicine on our team. Together, our medical providers believe in forming a partnership with patients that is based on knowledge, support, and accountability.

Medical visits are comprised of both individual and group sessions. The combination seeks to support patients through peer support while individualizing medical care.

Educational Classes

The series of classes in the initial phase of the program support informational content covered during the medical office visits with the provider. They expand into dietary and behavioral areas that support weight loss, long-term weight maintenance, and wellness, including essential planning, goal setting, and organization. Moderated group interactivity creates an internal support function through which patients learn from and support one another as they implement new habits and behaviors. Each class has an individual check-in to share successes, problem-solve challenges, and create support for maintaining healthy lifestyle choices.

1-on-1 Wellness Sessions

During the initial phase, you will meet one-on-one with our Jayme Armstrong, our Wellness Coach, to fine tune your plan for maximum success. Each person has unique circumstances and we strive to individualize our advice and support to address any challenges between you and optimal health. Additional sessions are available at your request for a small fee.
