About Dr. Gibbs

Dr. Karen Baltz Gibbs began her education with a B.S in Health & Human Performance/Athletic Training from George Fox University and completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Pacific University.

She is also a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Mulligan Practitioner (CMP), and Wilderness First Responder NOLS, (WFR).

Karen believes in treating the body as a whole system, in that everything is connected. Karen uses Manual Therapy to assist the patient to attain functional movement, then incorporates movement re-education to improve her exercise treatment approach. Her educational background, experience and commitment to her patients make her an enthusiastic resource to work with.

She has treated a wide variety of patients in the Orthopedic and Sports populations including general and sport specific injuries, postsurgical diagnoses. She specializes in Concussion and Cardiopulmonary care as well.

Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time with her family in the outdoors, fishing, camping and hiking. She loves all sports, especially Track & Field and Cross Country; she has been volunteering at USA Track & Field events, and Triathlon and bicycling events for many years. She began her running career as a sprinter/Heptathlete and Cross-Country runner for George Fox University and has taken part in a variety of races from 5k’s to marathons.
