Renee is a caring and compassionate doctor who listens and offers good advice in a relatable way. My only issue is that sometimes with the office it feels like they want you in there as much as possible when my goal is to be there less.

Hugh Gapay was the first doctor I’ve had in a long time who actually LISTENED to me. He showed genuine care. Also, the girl who took my vitals and whatnot, she was amazing. Absolutely loved her.

Regular follow up. Just completed Watchman procedure recommended by Dr Okuns. Everything going fine. Will be doing some testing and an Ablation later in the summer

Dr. Alston is always very pleasant, encouraging and practical which I appreciate. It can be very discouraging when a person is on a health journey and a physician assigns unrealistic goals or chastises you for small missteps. Dr. Alston also makes practical, easy to follow suggestions and recognizes even small achievements.

Dr Gulick is an excellent doctor but she needs to get a timer and use it. Waiting over 35 minutes passed my appointment time (tele appointment) after the nurse says she’ll be right in… then no updates, really too long. I appreciated the call back but then was told I had to call back via the tele system which again I sat but I needed to get back to my job. Maybe she’s taking too many calls close together or loses track of time. I know she has cut me off before. Love her as a doctor and tele appointment are usually great but I can do 10 or 15 minutes but not the 35.

Yesterday, I got passed off to another NP who was nice but I really didn’t connect. I was upset due to lack of sleep and anxiety increasing. Renee only came in to the room for maybe 1 minute and they were both hyper focused on my depression even though I told everyone I Was Not Feeling Depressed! Yes, I was down due to frustration and increased anxiety but they’re hyper focus on my “depression. Frustrated me even more! I needed something for my anxiety. I needed something so I could sleep more than 3 to 4 hours a night and their decision was to send me into C a psychobabble doctor, I did not feel good. When I left, I did not fill heard, I did not feel like Renee had more than one minute for me and that was beyond frustrating! Since I have been seeing Renee, I felt like there was a connection to someone I could talk to, and explain my thoughts and feelings, and instead they send in a brand new nurse practitioner who doesn’t know me at all! if I was going based solely on Yesterdays appointment, my answer would be no I wouldn’t recommend Southwest Family Physicians. I have been passed off so many times in the time that I’ve been there and what I want is to have a doctor/NP that doesn’t just throw me away to somebody else .
