My teenage son had a wellness visit recently. We were advised that he had wax buildup in his ears and to "just use one of the kits at home" to flush them. When we did the drops and used the tiny squeeze bulb they sell you at the grocery, it badly clogged up his ear. He has sensory issues and by the next morning he was absolutely miserable.
We had followed the package instructions exactly and tried 3 different times. I took him to urgent care where the kindly physician used a full sized plant type spray bottle to flush them. It took numerous attempts before they were finally clean. She even had to refill the solution at one point. She said they were completely packed with earwax and that we would never have gotten very far with a home kit.
Then she prescribed antibiotic ear drops because of how red and irritated his eardrums were where the wax plug had been attached, to prevent infection. He felt better immediately.
The worst part of all of this? The bill, which applies to our deductible that hasn't been met. $436 out of pocket for urgent care. You can't tell me that Dr. Benninger couldn't have done this in the office during the wellness visit. She had to have seen the amount of buildup and known it wouldn't be manageable with a grocery store kit. Even a follow up visit to SW would have been cheaper had she recommended that. She never offered either option and pretty much brushed it off.
I have other very serious concerns about my daughter's care where Renee completely failed to either provide basic information or make recommendations for care. She wasn't interested in being proactive in managing my daughter's health issues. She's very nice but I cannot in good conscience allow my kids to see her again or recommend her.
My family is very, very satisfied with the care we are getting from Molly Stratton, Dr. Alex and Jo Gramorosso. I cannot recommend them more highly although I believe Molly is no longer accepting patients. We've been seeing providers at SW since 2010. Billing is another issue entirely.

Took lady 3 times to draw blood. She kept jamming the needle in my left arm. When she put needle in left arm, blood wasn’t flowing. So she kept moving needle around which wasn’t comfortable instead of just pulling needle out. On 3rd attempt she used my right arm which she could have done after the 1st attempt on my left arm.

I was seeking a new primary care provider and had heard good things about this facility. Was even referred by my Gynecologist to this center. Front desk staff was friendly and so was the MA and student doctor but I waited 1 hour and 20 minutes in a tiny, hot room for the doctor and then popped my head out and said I have to leave in a few minutes for work or I'm going to be late. Then, finally I met Dr. Erickson he showed no caring, was rushed and didn't even know my concerns, that I had gone into great details with the student doctor about. He asked me if I needed refills on medicine and peaked in my ear but didn't do anything else or even try to get to know me for a second. He said I was now established and could call if I needed anything. Horrible first impression of this place and I won't be back. I drove pretty far to get there and wasted a whole afternoon. Really disappointed. I was looking for better care and understanding and this definitely wasn't it!

Love Renee and all her support staff. Phlebotomist that took blood this time asked my preference on arms to draw from and listened to me! She was quick with the stick and draw…didn’t catch her name but thank you!!!
